Wanna&#8217; to know why?<br \/>\nAll night long you hold courtship with the phantom sky.<br \/>\nYou brace the breach and clutch the straw<br \/>\nAnd wonder why everything comes out wrong.<\/p>\n<p>You&#8217;re a thespian with your speech.<br \/>\nIt&#8217;s something I can&#8217;t hold out and reach.<br \/>\nI&#8217;ve tried with my song<br \/>\nBut sadly it just lopes and lopes along.<\/p>\n<p>OK, be a ruler with your king.<br \/>\nI won&#8217;t hold back a thing.<br \/>\nI&#8217;ll teach you to draw and do studious things.<br \/>\nI&#8217;ll teach you to whisper to the mountain and the breeze.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, at last, in the darkness we&#8217;ve reached our peak.<br \/>\nA little boy in the drawer raises his head out to see.<br \/>\nHis face is covered in lashes.<br \/>\nHis cheeks are blanch, spotted with rashes.<\/p>\n<p>My kingdom for a good eye!<br \/>\nThe riders mount with their fellows to the sky.<br \/>\nThey know how it is down and out.<br \/>\nIn Paris and London and all about.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;d like to take you outside and shout.<br \/>\nBut I dare not let darkness out.<br \/>\nHe&#8217;s a snake whispering to his lover the dark.<br \/>\nA small minded man willing to ransom my only spark.<\/p>\n<p>Oh, how I wish you wouldn&#8217;t see<br \/>\nThe little man who&#8217;s running inside of me.<br \/>\nHe&#8217;s a traitor I tell you. Don&#8217;t believe a thing!<br \/>\nIf you do, I swear, I&#8217;m gonna take back that corn blue sapphire ring!<\/p>\n<p>Cutlet sized blazers and ribbon shaped hills.<br \/>\nThey keep us haunting this house recklessly in chills.<br \/>\nI&#8217;d sign you out, but you wouldn&#8217;t last<br \/>\nYou&#8217;d thrash around hysterically screaming about the past.<\/p>\n<p>You&#8217;re a duckly little darling aren&#8217;t you?<br \/>\nHeart shaped whisper, streaming lake colored eyes.<br \/>\nWho wouldn&#8217;t imagine an ocean looking at that radiant blue?<br \/>\nWill it do any good if I throw away all of the signs?<\/p>\n<p>I want to thank you for being here this evening.<br \/>\nIt&#8217;s a drama we couldn&#8217;t have done without you.<br \/>\nLittle birds take your seats and be still<br \/>\nWe promise what we say will be real.<\/p>\n<p>Longers, long for your garden covered roses then.<br \/>\nWe&#8217;ll be back if there&#8217;s room at the inn.<br \/>\nMake it cozy, fresh coffee and bread<br \/>\nAnd all the things King Solomon had by his bed.<\/p>\n<p>Beads and roses of rubies and stone<br \/>\nDon&#8217;t bother us too early. We want to be alone.<br \/>\nStop crying in your castle when we&#8217;re not to blame.<br \/>\nEach year we come back and its always the same.<\/p>\n<p>Oh lovely, I touch your soft place.<br \/>\nIt&#8217;s a bed of roses, your other face.<br \/>\nBe humble and proud and laugh out loud.<br \/>\nOnce their done with us, we&#8217;ll just be another face in the crowd.<\/p>\n<p>We stand upside down on the surface of the sky.<br \/>\nI can already see them waving their hands goodbye.<br \/>\n&#8220;They&#8217;re like Angels,&#8221; they scream, &#8220;Hold them to their words.&#8221;<br \/>\nBut its too late.
